History

Evan started work on Lemma in 2010 while attending university. He graduated in 2012 and worked for a small iPhone game studio for a year while developing Lemma part-time. In February 2014, Evan realized the game would never survive as a side project, and quit to focus on it full-time.

Lemma passed through Steam Greenlight in April 2014, but a simultaneous Kickstarter campaign failed. Evan shrunk the budget, took contract work, and dug into savings to spend the next year finishing the game.
